I’m an Enterprise Architect with 20+ years in software. I help organizations decide what to build, what to retire, and what the real problem actually is — currently as Azure Integration Consultant at Ciklum, previously as Solutions Architect on the ŠKODA / VW connected car platform. Away from the keyboard, I’m a father of two and a certified chess coach.

20+ Years in Software
I started programming as a kid on an 8-bit Didaktik M, teaching myself assembly from a manual — and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Professionally, the arc looks like this:
- Founded and ran two companies — a web and ecommerce studio with three partners, then a digital agency with my wife for five and a half years. Every decision had my own money behind it: what we took on, how we priced it, what we committed to.
- Enterprise .NET engineering — performance and reporting architecture for a core banking system, checkout and payment platforms, caching strategies for high-traffic retail.
- Solutions Architect on the ŠKODA / VW connected car platform — architecture across the Group’s full cloud footprint, where software versions, hardware configurations and markets all had to resolve into one working service for one specific car. At that scale the job is constraining the combination space, not picking frameworks.
- Platform and integration architecture today — system-to-system integration for a multinational group operating across several European jurisdictions, where legal requirements diverge by country and land directly in the design.
The common thread: the decisions that are expensive to reverse. Where the interface boundary goes, what the contract guarantees, and what the system does when the far side is unavailable.
What I’m Focused On Now
- Integration architecture at Ciklum — platform and integration design across a complex enterprise ecosystem, weighted toward analysis and architecture decisions rather than implementation.
- Master’s-level study in process management at VŠEM — because good architecture decisions are business decisions too. My bachelor’s thesis applied VSM and DMAIC to a software company’s pre-sales offer process and found roughly 67% of the elapsed time added no value.
I’m open to Enterprise Architect and principal-level roles with a real mandate — the authority to decide on the architecture, and the accountability that comes with it.
Away From the Keyboard
I’m a father of two, so my free time is… let’s say optimized. I’m a certified chess coach for children and a former chess club chairman — I still play daily. When I’m not coding or studying, I’m reading sci-fi (Asimov shaped my imagination more than any framework ever did) or spending time with family.
